Loss & Grief, My Pets

Remembering Bailey

A year ago today I had to say goodbye to my beautiful fur baby Bailey. Grandma and Uncle Mark took her to the vet to be put to sleep after she had become seriously ill. Since I was here in Florida, I wasn’t there to say goodbye to her or be there with her in her final moments. That was very hard for me.

Lexi and I sure have missed Bailey this past year. Her physical remains are here with us where she belongs, always watching over us. And I know she is at home with Grandma and Grandpa on the Other Side, sitting on the green bench by the back door watching and waiting for me to come home.

It’s been a year, but I think I’m finally ready to welcome another kitty into my home to be a new sibling for Lexi. Lexi needs a sibling again.

Rest peacefully, Spooky Fluffy Girl. Mama loves and misses you very much. I’ll be home to see and pet you again soon.
